How it all started
In 1980 our best selling line was pheasant - Mark and Oliver Leatham started their business by plucking game in their kitchen, and delivering it to some of London’s finest restaurants by car. At the end of the game season, they thought that they had better find something else to sell, so branched out into smoked salmon.
Fast forward thirty or so years and we have a lot to celebrate at Leathams: We have grown every year for the last ten, with turnover today of more than £62m. We supply customers all across the food industry: foodservice customers of all shapes and sizes; food manufacturers; and of course the major food retailers.
