Leathams Plc, under Managing Director Chris Waters and Executive Chairman Terence Faulkner, is an independent company with over 150 employees, specialising in the provision of fine foods to Foodservice, Manufacturing and Retail markets across the UK and Eire. The business was founded in 1980 by brothers Mark and Oliver Leatham as a partnership, selling game to the restaurant trade in London. Now nearly thirty years on, leading chefs, caterers, food manufacturers and retail consumers continue to rely on us for consistent quality and innovative ingredients.
Our passion for food is evident from the moment you walk through the doors of our head office in South London, where food is always the main topic of conversation. We currently supply over 2,000 specialist products in the Delicatessen, Grocery, Meat & Poultry, Patisserie & Bakery categories. Sourced from around the world, these include carefully selected ranges under our award winning brands - Merchant Gourmet®, SunBlush®, Roquito®, CherryBell®, Charcuti® and Chefs Brigade®.

Foodservice
Leathams Foodservice supplies over 2,000 cross-category, multi-temperature products from around the world. Our nationwide delivery service and 28 years experience in supplying all sectors of the foodservice market ensures our reputation and consistently high standards are guaranteed.
Leathams 'the food innovators' have been responsible for many new, premium quality, authentic products: Merchant Gourmet Chef's® Chinese spiced black rice vinegar, White balsamic vinegar, Nanjing black rice and the award winning Balsamic syrup, to name just a few. The widely enjoyed SunBlush® tomato range is also the fruition of Leathams' continual search for new and exciting products from around the World.
Our service is further extended to include an Award Winning Development Chef Team that develop bespoke, innovative products and menu solutions for clients.

Retail & Ingredients
The Retail & Ingredients Division of Leathams plc, under Director Clive Moxham, is divided into 2 areas - Ingredients and Retail (Merchant Gourmet).
Ingredients
Established in 1998 by Oliver Leatham, the Ingredients area specialises in the supply of premium ingredients, specifically designed for the food manufacturing, sandwich and pizza retail sectors. With a Sales Administration team of 6, and 6 London based Sales Managers, (three of whom are trained chefs), we can offer technical expertise, an impressive portfolio of products and unrivalled levels of service.
Team presentations take place at our customers' sites throughout the UK, or alternatively Customers are invited for a tour of our London Head Office facility followed by a presentation of products specific to their requirements and freshly prepared in our development kitchen.

Retail
The Retail area supplies a range of branded and retailer label lines to major UK supermarkets and leading independents across both chilled and ambient categories.
Built around the success of our brands Merchant Gourmet® and SunBlush®, we offer a range of high quality, authentic ingredient lines sourced from specialist overseas producers. Merchant Gourmet is supported by a comprehensive advertising and PR campaign.
Our products are also promoted and sold via our fast growing website - www.merchant-gourmet.com - which has a loyal fan base of consumers, looking for inspirational recipe ideas.
